It is a 1500, I should have mentioned that in my original post. I really like the truck, a one ton cab and frame with two ton running gear. I believe the 14,000 pound GVW makes it a 1.5 ton truck. A excellent size. By the way, I learned to drive first on an H in the field (and on the road in 5th, wheee!) and then on a 1600 dump truck. Cried when dad sold the old 1600, man the miles I drove that rig up and down the field while my brothers loaded hay bales on the back (I was too small to handle 100 pound hay bales but could steer, had to slide down under the steering wheel to engage the clutch to stop). We made a lot of money hauling hay in the summers for local farmers (dad did not pay as well but we used his equipment for fuel and oil to do custom work). Damn, the memories this old equipment brings back. Dad still has the H, hope we can keep it in the family. Sorry for the long post.
