auxiliary control valve(856)

Having problems with one of the auxiliary control valves on my 856(located under the seat). It will work in one direction. Once you stop it locks. It will not apply pressure in to other direction. The float position will not work. Once it stops- that's it. The handle will move and the spool will move on the valve. It becomes pressurized. The only way to get the pressure off is to remove the line-and take a oil bath. Has this happened to anyone? What is the solution?
