I think I need a stay rod socket

Ive got a 400 Diesel and no manual, so I need some quick help. On the front axel there are 2 about 1" diamiter rods that come off of the back of the axel and use a ball joint to connect to the frame. Are these the sayrods? the bottom pice that holds the ball up fell off and I can get a new one if I can figure out what its called. thank you- Rory
