The gear oil should be SAE 90, thinned when necessary with kerosene and the engine can be SAE 30 weight, lighter or heavier depending on air temperature and the level of use of the engine. This according to my owners manual of some 55 years ago. I believe I'd stay away from multi-weight oil in the engine. You know how another brand of beer tastes different! There are many webs sites, including this one, that have a better muffler solution than your dealer suggested. The muffler does not come with an exhaust pipe, which threads in the the manifold. The exaust pipe can be purchased as well. The assembly should be two piece, connected with muffler clamps to enable you to remove the hood without having to attemept to unscrew the exhaust pipe from the manifold each time, you merely take the muffler off the exhaust pipe by loosening the clamp.
