Way to go! Glad to hear it, the M is 3 times the tractor the 8N is! Even if it doesn't have 3 pt. yet. Sounds like you made a good deal. Is the Wide-front a IH widefront or an aftermarket? True IH wide-fronts command about $800 at auctions.
