Shawn: No other answers?? Iam no expert but I have shimmed rods with sheets of shim stock from NAPTA auto parts stores. I used plastic gauge to estimate how thick I needed the shim and then cleaned rod end and end caps, placed a strip over each and inserted rod bearings and cap.. I then took a new xacto knife and trimmed excess shim away. I removed cap and installed into engine and re-placed cap ( I didn't touch bearings once shim was trimmed) Gotta be careful to not double up shim anywhere or have any sticking out from bearings. Be neat and clean. good luck. ralph
