Was at a shop recently getting a hitch put in my truck. The guy had an H there he was converting to alternator. He wanted it under the hood. He found a Japanese (I think is was a Nissan) alternator that is smaller than the US versions. Made a real neat installation. Of course some might not want to contaminate the old US iron with stuff from the far east.
