Tim, give us a bit more information.This is gas or diesel? How many hours are on the tractor? If you use it in the winter are you using a lighter oil? You could have leaking valve guides (seals) or you could need a ring job. Best advice is to do a compression test on each cylinder. They should all be within a few pounds of each other. Some suggest a low of 85-90 lbs up to a high of around 110 lbs. Tractors can smoke if the carburator is not properly set. Does the tractor run fine otherwise? Does it seem to consume a lot of fuel?
