My 706 diesel (282) does that also.....Its a pain when u are pulling a big load and it kills.....I put a new head gasket and had the head and valves gone over this winter..I am excited to see if that did the job at curing it or not.....I sure starts better now, I have not got to work it at all after the head work but I believe it will really help
