Guy Fay's book goes into the differences as well as any I've seen. New all H's had cast iron pistons. Super H's had aluminum pistons. The combustion chamber in the head is shaped differently in the Super H. The bore is 1/8" bigger, but the crankshaft and rods are the same. There is a different style of main or rod bearing in the Super H so some of the bearings have different clearances than the H. Cams are the same. There was some difference in the intake and exhaust manifold that allowed the engine to breath slightly better, and the carb. on the SuperH was the 1-1/4" IH updraft like the M had, not the little 1". Compression ratio of Gas Super H's was 6.1:1; late Gas H's were about 5.75:1.
