OK, this maybe a stupid question, but would the pressure be at all effected by the fact that I was turning the engin over by hand? I was going about as fast a I do to start it (a quick jerk upwards).

Next question, as long as the pistons aren't rattling around in there and the sleaves look good would simply replacing the rings be a good path to take? It runs quite smooth right now, but I can't really tell you if the power is up to snuff as I don't have anything to compair it to.
