8 inches, Sam, 8 inches. The rear width of a BN is 8 inches narrower than a B. The only difference is the length of the axles on each side. The BN axles are 4 inches shorter on each side, thus the 8 inches. The engine, drive train, final drives & steering gear are identical in every respect. Either could be ordered with single or dual front wheels. The foot platform, pedal guard and drawbars are wider on a B to fit the extra width. An easy way to tell the difference is to look at the right side mounting bracket of the seat. If the right side seat bracket is attached to another bracket mounted on top of the axle housing, it's a B. If the right side seat bracket is mounted against the fender, using the same bolts, it's a BN.
