After all this time I finally got what I wanted, 2200 rpm at high idle. Ended up shortening a new 460 spring to 12 coils with the hook bent close enough to touch the barrel inside the spring. Now I have the high idle and the barrel is able to push the gov arm for low idle in case something happens to the springor gov. I did try a 660 spring but it was to stiff for the governer too function properly. BTW the throttle lever hits the stops on the quadrent, much easier on the linkage than the gov mounted high stop. Btw the 660 spring would be good for at least 2600 rpms, but the tach doesnt go that high and the motor is untouched, just not worth the risk, did have it up to 2400+ once but not again. 2200 rpms is the speed that the C-221 had in the 606. Post if you have any experance at this. kev
