John, here in E. Tx almost every school system still uses the 140's and Cadets to mow with, they are still going strong, my old grade school still has the same 140 that I watched as a 3rd grader. I saw a man mowing yesterday with it so I personally know it has been going for 24 years and it was pretty used back then. The power steering should not be a problem as I have a Farmall A, handcrank that I garden with, it steers fine, even when cultivating. If I had a few trees to mow around I would rather use a 140/belly setup as opposed to a modern tractor with a 3 pt. finish mower anyday. Just My Opinion, Johnny
