Wayne, stop by on a day when the weather is good and tell the owner that you have an interest in the same type of equipment that he has and that you have enjoyed looking at what he has from a distance and that you would appreciate him letting you have a closer look. If you and he have something in common that will help get your foot in the door. The man probably is pestered by people stopping thinking that they will buy a bargain and will be quick to tell you that nothing is for sale or he may be as abrupt to ask did you see a For Sale sign and when you say no he may insult you to leave. People like to share their treasures with those that have the same interest. If there is something that he will sell, the opportunity will surface for you to find out.
