I've heard that too, but I've also heard that's not true that they came from the factory with turbo's. To the best of my knowledge in 1963 the last year for 560's IH offered a field installed turbo off their TD cats. We have a neighbor who had three late 560 turbo diesel's, turbo's all installed at dealer. They last one they ordered brand new and had a turbo put on it at the dealership dynoed it went from 64 to 104 hp, and brought home the day president Kennedy was shot.We have a 560 with a factory turbo kit we put on just this summer. I even have an IH pamphlet that was made back in 62 showing and telling how to install the turbo it gives all the spec's on it. There is 560's out there with turbo's, we have fun using ours on the farm and pulling it on the weekends, lot's of power.
