My experience with my H and M is when they start running rough after running OK its points and condenser. Maybe it could be gas if when you crossed the tracks some junk came loose in the tank and is partially plugging the inlet to the sediment bowl. You could try removing the plug in the carburator and see if you can get a pint or so of gas to run out. If the gas flows OK I would think about points and condenser or maybe a bad spark plug.
