Like to never got the one off the lift all on my MD. Did not do the one on the counter shaft because it was not leaking. Both of these are forced onto the shafts by the rotation of the shaft under load, so they can get jammed on. I finally got mine loose by using a bar in the slot and a hammer. I have been told also that an impact wrench will do the job in short order. You have to have a tee bar for the impact wrench to fit the slot in the coupling. I think there would be room for a 1/2 inch impact wrench up in there once the lift all is out.
