I would think that it would.I got the idea from a guy who owns a machine shop.Where Im from the government said these type of shops cant use any kind of cleaner that might possibly spill and caues enviromental damage.(Not that there ever was a problem with that happening)Anyhow,this guy uses a high pressure hot water cleaner that he puts all of his heads and blocks in.He did a block for me about a week or so ago and it came out good,so I though it might work on the carb.It did an excellent job.Oh and my wife hasnt said anything to me yet!She is MAD!
