Hi Lee, Yes, that is why there is a cut out on the block. Some power unit engines had a plate under the mag for a hydraulic pump, why I dont know. Also, some of these engines needed a fuel pump and there is a 2 bolt plate on the side of the block under the mag for a pump. When I was rebuilding the engine for my "A", I noticed that the camshaft had an extra lobe for the fuel pump, even tho the block wasnt cast for a pump. On the front, right side of the engine right under the cylinder head , and above the mag is where the engine size is cast. If the engine is a C-113, there will NOT be a casting. However, if its a C-123 or a C-135, these numbers will be cast in the block
