300U loss of power

My 1955 300U starts great, runs for a minute, and then stops running. It starts right up again, and does the same thing. I rebuilt the carb but I must have not done it right. The gas tank is clean and the fuel line new. It runs really nice, but just for a few minutes. Any ideas? I would appreciate any help. Thanks
