Is your trans spline entered into the clutch disc? is the trans shaft entering the pilot bearing? did you use a pilot shaft to align the clutch plate so it is centered? and did you back the clutch adjustment rod off? I'm trying to think of things that might be amiss. Some fellows prefer to "hang" the clutch & pressure plate on the trans. shaft leaving the bolts loose on the pressure plate and snug the clutch housing to the motor then working through the access cover,tighten the bolts on the pressure plate, that way everything lines up I hope I have not confused you. luck Geo.
