Confused IH 454

I recently purchased a book called International Tractors 1955-1985, By Ken Updike. In this book on page 64 it states that starting in 1971 IH 54 and 74 series tractors were built in Doncaster, England. The problem is that my tractor is marked made in the USA on the plate beside the operators left foot which contains the Serial number 2210124U003790* Can any one explain? Is the book wrong and were some of them made in the USA as well as England?
