Need help with hydraulic

I attached a 3pt hitch to my H and it lifted an disk that has 4 dishes in front and 4 in the back. It's a heavy one but it still lifted about a foot and a half from the ground, but now it's having problems lifting it, I don't know why. There have been times that it does and some times it doesn't. I've checked the fluid is normal but the hydraulic pistons are quite old. I don't think it's the pump because I attach a lighter attachment and it lifts fine, I can't figure out what is the problem. The disc itself weighs roughling over 500 lbs I guess.
