I had a 504 gas with a IH 2000 loader on it I sold it this winter. The tractor is too light in my opinion for loader work mine had loaded tires and I could hardly move with a bucket of sand any more weight and I would pick the back off the ground. other than that power was so-so it ran good I didn't like the tranny in it you had to push in the clutch and wait what seems like forever before the gears slow enough to shift and the clutch peddle takes way to much force to push in for loader use I had many days with a sore leg. I sold it and bought a few years older tractor a 3020 jd for about the same price with a loader and I they dont even compare easy shifting ,good brakes, better hyd., lots more weight and power, twice the stearing (both power), I would not buy another 504 after now unless it was real cheap. my 2 cents
