Sources for determining year model by casting codes?

I have just bought a McMormick-Deering 10-20 with no serial number. What is the best source for determining the year model by the casting codes in the engine, trans, etc? What year did they stop putting the Mc-Deering embossed into the casting of the radiator head and begin using the attached silver logo plate? Thanks for any help.
