Kieth, those hook looking things are just the release pins for the hood. You pull them down and twist half turn and your whole top hood comes off ( after you first remove muffler and oil breather). The weight and I am guessing a little is about 2300 lbs more or less. Super A's bring a premium price if they are in good condition, usually around $ 3000.00 more or less depending on emplements, here in southern Michigan. If the engine is not frozen up, it shouldn't be too hard to get started, but just remember, buying it is only the first expense you may encounter. Check it out fairly well. Good Luck.
