JP: I own my business and at times it is great, when you are busy. When times are slow you wonder how the bills are going to get paid. I am in the service business, and calibrate companies' measuring instruments for machine tools. I also would like to restore tractors part time and make some extra cash but I haven't figured out how I am going to do it. I think if you did it part time first to see if you can get enough work, that will give you a good indication whether or not it is something to venture into. I even thought may be of doing something like precision work like grinding a cam shaft or a crank shaft, for tractors. Just look at the prices for a refurbished or new one! It all takes guts! and knowing how to advertise cheaply! Bob
