Question About Piston Change on Farmall 230

Why can't I use the oversize pistons listed for the Farmall 200(31/8" to 31/4") in my Farmall 230(31/8).My engine serial # tells me it isn't a late production engine(#48445). What is the difference,I want to get some more power from my 230. I would appreciate any input on the subject.
