Are you sure the battery is installed with positive ground? The tractor should be pos ground but sometimes less experienced owners (kids?) assume that the whole world is negatively grounded just like their SUV. Has the Ammeter been worked on? Perhaps the leads to the ammeter have been reversed? Does the battery go dead? Is the generater charging or not? I generally take the side of the Farmall and assume that the equipment is working but the tinkerer screwed up. Let us know what you find. DD
