I would always use a hardener specific to the paint formulation. The paint on the Cub was PPG acrylic urethane and a medium speed hardener. I think the ratio was around 4:1:1 (paint:hardener:reducer). You have a choice based on the ambient temperature the day you expect to paint. I've been amazed at the gloss.
