That sounds like a good idea. I sense people not wanting me to do it myself. That is what makes experts out of simple folk. That old 1942 sat up across the road for 10 years after my Dad suddenly died. I was kind of scared to tackle it. I could hear my Dad's voice in it. The farther I've opened it, the easier it has been to understand, unlike my father's sudden death at age 55. He was an Air Force Man, proud, defiant, sometimes pretty darn mean, but I under stand why he was that way now. It was for me. He taught me to not walk away from uncertainty. It is that way becuase you have not met it yet. Well, I have met my 1942 Distillate Farmall H. I see its problems and I know what I need to do. I may not have all of the answers but, I know where to find them. Somewhere deep in my heart. I intend to rebuild this thing, one exhaust manifold shield bolt at a time. I finally found an Exhaust manifold shield: had to pay 125 dollars for it. What I am saying is this, anything worth doing is worth doing regardless of the outcome. That is what makes us better people. Now if I can just get that stuck piston out of a cylinder with a cracked sleeve. Thanks for all your help. My Dad and I appreciate it. Scott
