Bob,
Maybe I live too sheltered a life. Have you discovered a new kind of easy-out that can grip without expanding the remaining part of the bolt? Expanding is exactly what you DON'T want to do. In most cases, the bolt is broken because it is stuck TIGHT in the hole. Why on earth would you use something that will expand the bolt and make it even tighter? Throw those !@#$% easy-outs in the junk where they belong! I can't think of a way that is not better for removing bolts.

Tractor Traction - by Chris Pratt. Our first bout with traction problems came when cultivatin with our Massey-Harris Pony. Up till then, this tractor had been running a corn grinder and pulling a trailer. It had new unfilled rear tires and no wheel weights.
