Thanks for the replys, I sure found a difference in pricing depending on where a person looks,
From a couple of web sites for Case based parts
$245.00 to $280.00 USD
From web sites for Ford tractor parts:
$491.00 to $525.00 USD

Here in Canada prices range from $470.00 CDN @ Case dealer to $895.00 CDN @ Ford/New Holand dealer.

For reference the numbers stamped on the mounting flange can be broke down as:
first 3 #'s ie 245= product type
next # ie 0= backplate configeration
last # ie 5= displacement

letters following #'s, usually three or more:
first letter, L or R= rotation
other letters= sequential Identification

In addition there is ussually a second set of number/letters stamped on the flange,
ie 4G 10 ST
first #= last number in year built
next letter= engineering code change
next #= week of year built 0 thru 52
last set of letters= testers initials

Now I'm curious about the history of Cessna, I've seen these pumps on a lot of different equipment, even my little dozer came equipped with a Cessna pump in 1959, so they were a around for quite a while. Was/is Cessna a company on its own, or is a brand of pump built by a parent company??. Just curious

Today's Featured Article - The Nuts and Bolts of Fasteners - Part 2 - by Curtis Von Fange. In our previous article we discussed capscrews, bolts, and nuts along with their relative hardness and thread sizes. In this segment we will finish up on our fasteners and then work with ways to keep them from loosening up in the field. Capscrews, bolts and nuts are not the only means of holding two parts together. When dealing with thinner metals like sheet tin, a long bolt and ... [Read Article]
