Forum Members, Just returned from up north Minnesota. While there I used the HD3 to push snow. With that of course there are questions and observations. Wondered where the oil was seeping from and found the valve cover gasket is failing both fore and aft. Question is where does one get a new gasket or should I make my own? Have done that before with success. Second question concerns starting the diesel. It seems to start a lot better if using both the 1500 watt tank heater with a magnet heater on the oil pan. With temps zero and less it seems as soon as the oil pressure rises it acts glue if not preheated. Does this make sense?? Third item pertains to the original tracks. Recently purchased a set of replacement tracks and sprockets and thought it was a mistake until running the HD3 for four plus hours. The originals are completely worn out:( Pins, bushings and links are loose?? Will replace this spring. Any and all thoughts pertaining to these items are welcome. Mr. T. Minnesota
