Weather forecast

For those of you that cut hay, is there a specific weather forecast that you watch? I can't find one that I can somewhat depend on. Today was the first day in a month that there was 3 days of 25% or less chance of rain. I cut some down and it's currently flooding on it. Guess I'll be tedding a lot tomorrow to try and dry it off.

Hi Steve

I use YR Weather it is a Norwegian website. You can dial it into your area and it gives good detail on amount and timing of rainfall often down to the hour. The temperatures provided are not that accurate but I use it for hay making here in Australia and have had good success.

I use the national weather service and just the app on my phone. If it shows a storm a week away and it stays on the same day we will probably get a storm if a storm is on and it keeps moving ahead a day every day then we wont get anything . Right now cut hay wont even make it rain

It's about impossible. DTN used to be my go to, but they changed it so instead of a 5 day forecast broken down by 12 hour intervals including dew points and wind, now they're just idiot pictures for daytime and overnight. What was the best is now the worst. I'm still looking for a replacement. The forecast on Ag Day is probably as good as anything, but it isn't locally specific. Yesterday, they were predicting a narrow streak of heavy rain right over us, up to three inches. I haven't been out to check yet, but we really got hammered all night.
