Failure? I fought I would have some hay to cut I was wrong

We went from drought status to drowning status in several places in a weeks time. Have been trying to plant soybeans for the last month. Was dry as a popcorn poot then finally got a 3.9 inch rain to start planting. Got about a third planted before what the forecast of maybe half inch rain came. Well that has turned into 8 inches plus and counting in 6 days. Got tobacco drowning in places. Ain't sure if what beans I have planted will even halfway come up. Pure frustrating. Only bright side is the corn looks good except in the heavy blackland.
 
Thats to bad . I went from 3 ton to the acre to maybe a 1/2 a ton total and then only way I can see to gather it up is rent a lawnmower with a bag attachment.
 
Thats awful . I dont know what it would be like to have too much water but it makes sense its just as bad as not having any at all .

The littles dont help much, they leave that to their older brother however they like posing for pictures at the end of the day.
 
Not quite a failure yet, but it is not looking good! Corn is starting to roll some and hay is not coming back worth a darn, my first crop was light and to add fuel to the fire I rotated some fields and now have oats and corn in those instead of hay! The oats is not all that tall and starting to head! Only thing helping is the dew at night and the corn is about all canopied! I have a neighbor with crp I asked him about making his hay this year and he is going to check into it, the government might release it this year if things keep on this track! Hope we all get rain sometime soon!
 
Well.......

First cutting looks awesome! But it was 100 degrees, and Im an old fat guy. I made a load and a half and didnt want to cut any more. Not sure I could keep up as a one man band. Now Im into spraying, so the hay waits. It fimpnally got dry enough this year to make good hay!

Now it is getting a little too dry, if it doesnt rain in a week. But, as miserable wet as the last 5-6 years have been, wow this is nice! If it doesnt rain wont be too big a second cutting. But stuff is in the forecast....
