JD 71 Corn plates

Which JD plates will drop both flat and round corn seed. By that I mean will plates for round drop both flat and round or just round? Will plates for flat seed drop round or only flat? TY

The cells in the plates are quite different. I suppose the seed will drop if it can get into the cell but you may find 2 small seeds in one large cell and a lot of skips if the seed is to big to fit the cell easily. Accurate and consistent planting requires consistent seed size and a plate that matches the seed. With a 4 row planter I owned a stack of plates almost 2 feet tall.

NO PLATES will work on both flat and round seed. Never any made that would do that.

try these guys they have plates for everything. we have a 4 row 71 set up and have a stack of over 50 plates... and some times i still don't have the ones i really need
