I have been planting Purple hull peas for years but here lately I cant keep the grass and weeds under control. I spray with glyphosate to burn down patch then prepare ground, plant and hope the deer don't find it. Seems that this year the weeds and grass came back faster than the peas. any suggestions would be greatly helpful.

Select herbicide is a great grass killer and is labeled for many different garden crops.

There are many generic brands with the same chemical, but “Select” is the original for you to look up and compare.

Broadleaf weeds are the tough ones to do anything but hoe. There are a few but be careful if you plant any other garden crops near, most broadleaf sprays don’t get
along well with 3/4 of what folk have in a garden setting.

Thanks Paul I will give Select a try. My spring Garden has worked out so I am going to spray , plow , and replant Purple Hull Peas and is if I can keep them semi clean with Select.

Thanks again for the info.
