ROTOTILLER FOR 860 FORD

I HAVE A 860 FORD AND I PLAN TO BUY A 72 IN. ROTOTILLER FOR IT. AM I OVER LOOKING POSSIBLE ISSUES WITH USING A 72 IN.? CAN A SHORTER ROTOTILLER BE SHIFTED FROM ONE SIDE TO THE OTHER SIDE TO WORK EITHER TIRE TRACK? WHAT WOULD BE BEST?

dave i bought a 6 ft tiller from rural king to do garden plots and food and pollinator patches. a 5 ft would barely clear the rear tire foot print so i went with
the 6 ft. i am pulling it with an ih 240 utility with a fast hitch to 3 point conversion. my tractor does not have a live pto, but the hitch hydraulics are live. if
the ground is really hard, i make a few passes with a single shank chisel to loosen up the ground. and go over a couple times with the tiller. your 860
should have a live pto and about 40 hp or so so i dont see a problem. heres a pic of the rig and some ground it it worked up.

mine is standard rotation. it is the hd gear driven tiller with the slip clutch. if i recall it was about 2 k for the unit. it does a nice job for seedbed prep. i
have no complaints.

No reason you can't use the 6' like TSC sells with 54 self sharpening L shaped, HD blades. I have one and run it on my 2000 or 3000 depending on which
is handier at the time. Piece of cake.
