Hows the crops this year

Well had to make some post since hasn't been one down here for a month! Lol Anywho corn is coming out well, lots in the 200 bushel plus some pushing 300. Beans look most okay around here but not many getting done do to frequent rains. Silage corn was a little late this year, and I am going to cut my fourth cut hay this weekend, going to be cool but its almost November so to be expected. Hope all well for everyone.

I wish I could find out,too wet. We're short on hay. First cutting was way late because of too much rain, then after the first of July it didn't rain again until Labor Day. I only got two cuttings off some and the second was poor. The best of the second came off in early August and wasn't too bad,but the third was practically non existent in that.

About a third of my silage corn is standing in water. We covered the rest of it up Sunday. I picked the first load of corn today out of desperation for something to grind. I had to come in to the middle of a headland on one end to pick off the high side of a field. Moisture looks pretty high. It's 92 day corn, but wasn't planted until June 8. I was amazed at how much was in the wagon for no more ground than I covered,so it looks like there's a lot of corn there,I just can't pick it until it freezes up. I'll grind it in the morning and have a better idea of the moisture. I don't know if I'll be able to get it out of the mixer or not.

I need to bale some stalks to stretch the hay out,but I can't do that if I can't pick.

Soybeans made 70.5 bu across the scales. The corn looks great but I have not started yet. Checked moisture and had 19% with a hand shell. I have 30 acres of oats to chop if we ever get a window to do it and my forage sorghum is still way to wet to chop even with the killing frost we have had. Might pick corn next week as we need some bedding. Tom

Soys struggled this year, 40 bushels per acre seemed to be the norm, though moisture were 12 to 13.5. Just too dry for 6 weeks. Corn is still a few weeks away, most is in the 30 percent plus range, with some damage from the last couple of frosts. Looks about average crop in spite of the weather, hoping for 140 bushel per acre. Time will tell.....

Barleys cut yielded a whopping 18 bushel . Hay yielded excellent couldn?t believe where it all came from . Calf crop looks really nice probably the nicest bunch I?ve had in awhile . Been trying to get straw put up for dang near 3 months hope to finish this week

Wish I could get it in.

Beans stopped at 17.5% moisture, took 3 hard freezes before they dried, 2 days before yesterday?s snow. I got 60% of them combined..... they are almost an average yield which is better than expected.

Corn dried down to about. 20%, good for here. But it?s late, cold, and LP shortage, so the line at the elevator has been 1-2 hours in line per load. For a couple weeks now.

Can?t get anywhere as a one man band, corn is pretty nice for a terrible year yielding better than the three previous tough wet years, but I?m spending a half hour combining and two hours unloading a load, getting nothing done.

Oats and barley were the worst crops I?ve ever harvested, but very minor acres.

No ones fault but a very frustrating year of mud and rain. Has been from the first melt of snow to the first 3 inch snowfall last night.

I picked my first load of corn last night, having a job and farming isn't the easiest task, had a dusting of snow last night while doing it, then snowed all afternoon today and wasn't in the forcast for it, got a few inches! Hope this weekend stays dry so I can pick, if I have to put chains on I will just to get it done!

Corn in my area made from 110 to 190 bushels per acre...My renter had 156 bpa on me with 140 over all...Soybean harvest just got started and looks like there will be yields from 20 all the way to 60 bpa plus....Some of the July beans got froze...

Our tenant just dropped off the yield information earlier today
Corn made 218.91
Beans 69.41
i think those yields were really good considering the weather we had this year late planting due to rain
