Allis Chalmers 5040. 3 cylinder diesel, Fiat made in Romania by UTB. Extra hoses are for grapple I added to loader bucket. Unhooked so I can use hydraulics to turn bale thrower. Still missed the wagon on a couple turns.

That?s a pretty nice rig. Never been around a thrower do the bales survive the landing pretty well ?

Ya they survive okay, some first ones will break. I grew up in the 80s and 90s and small square balers with slingers, kickers, or throwers (whatever you want to call them) were as thick as fleas on a dog!

Thanks for posting.........great picture......:)

The size of the rear tires on your Tractor..?...

Always nice to see other areas Haying...

We baled thousands of bales with the New Holland Baler and the 3 cylinder Perkins Diesel...MF FE 35 X..

Bob. North Western Alberta Canada...

Tire has 14.9 R 28 on the side. They may look a little larger as they are set as wide as they go. That way when I got it several years ago. Probably a good idea for the hills of Wisconsin.

I grew up with my dad having kicker balers, like any other baler when things working correct they are fine when not boy does a broken bale go flying when it gets kicked, hay loafs all over the place! to do nowdays thou I would use basket wagons or accumulator. I had both of those for years, now all retired out of the small bales period, straw to grocery store was my money maker.
