3 acres each of corn and soybeans and you will have evfery deer in 320 acres eating there. Looks like good bedding there in the tree claim.

If I had that piece of ground like that it would get baled for cattle feed unless you are pen raising deer. Otherwise they can have whats left in the corners and fence lines. Theres no way i am going to waste good feed on a deer. I either farm it, hay it or graze it!

Go ahead and take the first and second cutting and bale it. If it looks like the GDD are going to put you way over in the fall you can cut it the third time. I watch over 50 deer feed every evening in the alfalfa field to the north of my land and it was cut three times.

:D I get to play with 27 acres that doesn't get farmed and a little over 200 acres of woods .. Its just a escape for me..I know i have to cut the alfalfa and if i can get some one to bale it i will
We have plenty of row crops im trying to keep the deer from eating them all

I planted corn to the right of the alfalfa saturday ..and got a good wind Sunday and sprayed it with atrazine
