Anyone familiar with or ever planted any radishes to loosen soil and add nutrients? These are supposed to penetrate soil up to 24 inches deep and alleviate the need for aeration.ripping. Thanks,Jim

I have read a lot about them and I am going to try to raise some for seed this spring. If they do every thing they claim it will be the greatest thing since sliced bread!

I want to try some in our garden this/next year. Are they hard to plow under when the time comes?? Is it like trying to plow an old alfalfa field??

There are a few fields under the snow right now, but they are the first ones planted inthis area so we have no past history to look at.

Nothing like alfalfa, not as deep nor sod forming. Unless these radishes are completely different then rape and turnips.

According to what I read in my Google search the radishes rot so I think plowing wouldn't be a problem.
