Case 4490 4WD Tractor Questions

I know I ask about several tractors, but I've found the best way to know what you're looking at BEFORE you look at it is from folks with personal experience. Anyone on here have or had a 4490 in the past? Looking for something in that HP range, don't need the duals for what I'm doing, and have located two that are reasonably priced in reasonable condition with single wheels front and back. Will be used strictly for fall chiseling/ripping and spring disking. I've heard the short stance on these machines make them have a comparable turning radius to a 2wd tractor (without braking one wheel of course) and have also heard these cabs to be fairly quiet as opposed to say the 1586's and such. Any opinions?

Have a 4690 yes it wil turn short and cab is quiet I would get the duals if you can never know when you would need them

The 4490 is just the later 2470. Same 504 Case engine. They where a work horse that gave little trouble. The only problem tractors in that series where the 2870 and 4890. The Saab engine cost a mint to work on.

i have just the right 1 for you. just sold the blade off it today. has rebiult motor. it has front duals, runs great. 175 pto and 200 engine. id like 7000 obo. that is a steel for what i see other ones for in rough shape. this would be perfect for you. all it needs is the brakes tightening i think and shut off cable and your good to go.

Appreciate the offer.. and a good deal on the price for the power... just a little rough for what I'm looking for and trying to stay reasonably close to home with the semi to avoid the mess of being out of range with farm tags and no CDL. Thanks again though!
