I like to buy a small mig welder that will weld aluminum with a spool gun, any body have sugestions. Is a lincoln SP140T any good it runs on 110 volts. They cost about $560 plus $200 for a pool gun.

I haven't used it much, but we have a Miller 140 with a spoolgun where I work. Seems to be alright. Tip of the day, use straight helium when welding aluminum. We TIG more than we MIG on aluminum. My $.02 worth.

I would look at the Lincoln 180C 220 volt welder,it's about the same price and a lot more welder for the money, the spool gun is comparable in price to the 140,I think the other reply ment to say you should use pure Argon on aluminum.

It depends entirely on how thick of aluminum you want to weld. Aluminum takes a lot more amps for the same thickness than steel.

I have a lincoln sp180t with the 100 spool gun and it works well. Would recommend the 180 over the 140 as both will use the 100 spool gun
