I have a 1969 4020 gas tractor that the hydralic pump is making a noise. The 3 point lifts fine and power steering works fine. Also if you don"t shut off gas. gas will run into oil pan. I had carb rebuilt, without new float, that did not help. any ideas?

Check hyd pump coupling for wear. They are known to wear out. On carb did you install new needle & seat and check float for holes allowing gasoline to enter? Did you set float according to spec's?

I would have a hard time thinking the gas is leaking through the carbuerator into the pan...thats quite a lot of gas to get UP through the manifold/head. I would be thinking transfer pump, Bob

You're correct. His statement about rebuilding carb triggered my Oldtimers.
