tea20 tyre size

Hi, firstly, I love this forum, it has been a very helpful resource, so thanks to all whom help out. I have a tea20 with standard rims. The rears tyres are 9.5*28. I am having trouble finding repacements though (second hand). I have found a pair of 12.4*28 tyres though. Can someone confirm for me if these will fit ok, or if they are too wide.
Regards and thanks

10-28 / 11.2-28 would have been what a to-20 wore.. the 10-28 is the original number system, replaced by the 11.2-28.

a 12.4-28 is 1 size bigger.. but should fit the same rim.

12.4x28 are ok, have them on mine. there are [I think] 6 wheel settings.
I have the rim tubes behind the dish and this gives plenty of room.
Check the tyre rotation is correct before placing on rims.

That is the size you should have had all along, for some reason somebody put a way too small tire on there at some time, how they found that odd a size even to put on is beyond be.

I'm back. Well I just made a fool of myself didn't I, The size I enquired about is the size I have, I must have gotten confused with something else. I have been so busy with many different projects at the moment. Thanks to all who replied and set me straight.
