Alabama Tornadoes And A Hangin' Tree...

Though some might think to find an off colored joke here, with a title like that, it ain't going to happen. I was in for lunch & watching the Weather Channel. There was a gentleman being interviewed from, I believe, Tuscaloosa who had survived the tornado in the corner of the house with the rest of his family. When the storm passed & the search crews came to search for people, they found this man & his family fairly unscathed with only some cuts & bruises. One of the searchers had found his deceased veteran father's flag almost untouched in it's frame & set it out for the family to find. Before anyone in the house could shake off what had just happened, someone up & took the flag! Frame & ALL! The guy who had just survived this mess broke down on camera when he began to tell what happened & about took the interviewer (Jim Cantore) with him. I opened my yap to cuss & nothing came out. Don't people know what those framed flags mean?!

I don't want to start a rant here & get everyone hot under the collar, so don't. Please DO keep your eyes peeled for a new flag in someones posession. I know chances are slim to none that anyone here will ever run across it, but I feel better getting the word out.

Take Care,
Mike

Find em and hang em...........you have no decency as a human being if you steal from others in their time of need.......all looters should be SHOT on site...........wana borrow my rifle!!!!!

Have you noticed, although we think of them as, cheap, cold an violent, etc etc, no where in Japan did they need armed soldiers, no marshall law, everyone, no mater the age, helped each other, neighbors or strangers, to get warmth and comfort, food, connections- and start picking up each others things and find the right owners of all sorts of water logged stuff. Hard to be patriotic when our neighbors steal the last property of a dead man. Something's wrong here, and it ain't getting any better. My mother went to these disasters for over 30 years with the red cross, most everybody effected ever time was very happy for the help, but a couple times- she was shot at... takes all kinds I guess....
