This is the first time since Wed. morn that I have been on my computer.Been living off generator since then. I live in Limestone county,Alabama 20 miles north of Huntsville and 1/2 mi south of the Tn state line. We haven't had power ,other than gen. since 11:00 a.m. wed morn. Our little town of Ardmore straddles the state line and the Tn side still has power so you can imagine the thousands of of people coming from Huntsville to get food and gas. It has been ,at times ,total chaos. We are under curfew at night so that helps.I had forgotten how quiet and peaceful it is without the glare of lights and the sounds of traffic. We were some of the lucky ones, other than loss of power and a few trees down and some scared grandchildren as we rode out the storms in our basement. We feel blessed! We don't expect to have power restored until the middle of the week at the earliest.I retired from GM- Delphi 5yrs ago and since then I have been working at Ardmore high school. Unfortunatly our football coach lost his. 21 yr.old daughter in the Tuscaloosa tornado. She was one of the students that was killed,so please remember her family and all the others in your prayers.Thank's JRV

Remember all,and give thanks that storm missed. We had a close one here but only one person hurt lot of property damage.

I feel for you folks there. Thank goodness you were spared. I just got off work this morning and have tomorrow off. I'll be down at Liberty road in our county to see what kind of help I can offer some of the folks there that lost their homes and belongings. I've never seen anything like that first hand. If anyone ever needed help it's tornado victims. We have lots of timber in this area. I've never seen such a mess of wooded land either. Trees on top of trees as far as you can see down that path.
